In Profile – Business Services Manager, Jacki Thompson

After nearly two and a half years as a key member of the Vinyl Solutions team, we caught up with Jacki to find out more about her:

What attracted you to the position and how did you find out about it?
I had been working in Devon for a large corporate company for eight years, only being at home at weekends. I was looking for something closer to home where I could utilise all of my different skills. Vinyl Solutions sounded like an exciting company that was looking to grow, with great values that mirrored my own.

What were your first impressions of Vinyl Solutions? 
Great products and a passionate team.

In short, what is a typical working day like for you at Vinyl Solutions?
Luckily I never have a typical day as each day is different. One day I could be negotiating a new SLA with a Supplier and the next, taking delivery of a new Fleet vehicle.

How have you got to where you are today?
I have had a varied career. Prior to having children I was a licensee for a local night club, I then moved into Sales. For the past 10 years I have worked in Procurement and Operational Management.

Getting to know Jacki

Who are in your family?
My husband John, my four children Scott, Sean, Sara-Jayne and Robbie and my amazing Grandchildren Louie (6), Logan (3), Lacey (2), and Max (2) – they definitely keep me young!

What are your hobbies?
Definitely DIY – I find it really relaxing.

Favourite Sport?
Netball, I played in a local league up until last year when I injured my knee.

Cliff Richard

Favourite Movie?
The Green Mile – (even though if you ask my husband, he thinks its Love Actually!)

Best live concert?
Would have to be Cliff Richard back in the 90’s.

Favourite Food?
Italian

Favourite Holiday?
Dominican Republic – it really was as idyllic as I hoped.

Favourite place in the World?
At home with my family.

Favourite TV show?
Anything reality – love them all but don’t tell anyone!

Favourite Colour?
Pink, Blue, Green, Grey – depending on my hair colour that month!

Favourite Car?
Range Rover

What annoys you?
Multi-coloured decorations on a Christmas Tree.

What’s top of your bucket list?
A Sky Dive!
