In Profile – Operations Manager, Matt Priest

We caught up with Matt to find out more about him and his role:

What attracted you to the position and how did you find out about it?
I have always enjoyed working with stock, stock control and shipping products, so when I saw Vinyl Solutions had an opening for a Stock Controller, I jumped at it. 

What were your first impressions of Vinyl Solutions?
A small business with a big heart.

In short, what is a typical working day like for you at Vinyl Solutions?
Normally hectic! Ensuring kit-lists are issued, booked with our couriers and ready for installations for the following day. I also respond to any questions from the holiday parks and supporting the Regional Account Managers and fitters.

How have you got to where you are today?
I worked for MFI for 10 years, helping customers with their flat pack furniture. I then joined Carphone Warehouse Business for 16 years managing their operations in Poole.

Who are in your family?
My wife Lin and two daughters Rachael and Hannah, I’m also looking forward to my Grandson being born in January. 

What are your hobbies? 
I enjoy a little a bit of gaming when I get the time.

Football, I am a massive Fulham fan.

I do enjoy Phil Collins
