In Profile – Technical Sales Support, Rachael Ison

We recently caught up with Rachael to find out more about her – including her love for all things Disney, running, badminton and that she was once a fully trained fish monger!

What attracted you to the position and how did you find out about it?
It feels that long ago that I cannot remember. But there again I cannot remember what I had for breakfast today! Old age is setting in.

What were your first impressions of Vinyl Solutions?
There is such a close-knit team, and the workload was very varied and not like anything I had done before.

In short, what is a typical working day like for you at Vinyl Solutions
Quoting/creating drawings for decking and supporting the Regional Account Managers.

How have you got to where you are today?
I have a very varied job history including being a fully trained fish monger, auxiliary nurse and working for the MOD.

Getting to know Rachael

Who are in your family?
My two children. A son and daughter that are my absolute world.

What are your hobbies?
Running, long walks and online gaming. This is starting to feel like an online dating profile!

Favourite Sport?
Badminton. I used to play for Dorset when I was younger. For two years, I was Dorset number one singles female.

Favourite Band/Singer?
To be honest, I do not have a particular favourite. I love music and could quite easily give up TV if I still had music to listen to. My taste in music is so varied!

Favourite Movie?
Anything Disney!

Best live concert?
Fleetwood Mac at the O2, London

Favourite Food?
Pizza and pasta. Clearly, I should be living in Italy.

Favourite Holiday?
Either Disney Land, Paris, or Disney Word, Florida.

Favourite place in the World?
Disney World, Florida

Favourite TV show?
I am not a massive watcher of TV programmes. I do love the classics like Friends though. You can watch and re-watch episodes of Friends time and time again and still enjoy it.

Favourite Colour?
Turquoise/Teal

Favourite Car?
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

What annoys you?
Noisy eaters. Especially people who scrape the bottom of yogurt pots to get that last little bit out.

What is top of your bucket list?
To travel the world. I would love to hire a motorhome and travel across America one day.
